Blood donation: I do not know what they might do in England. You probably could call the center you gave blood at. However if you are really worried about Hep C and HIV you should have blood drawn and tested here.

Call them: I'm glad you're health-conscious. Give the donor center a call and ask when you will be notified. Mention that you didn't donate to get a test, and you have no risk. I simply wish that there were more people who are both public-spirited blood donors and also health-aware. We'd have a far healthier, happier world.
