I can see a small white spot on my tongue should i be worried or see a doctor it doesn't hurt, what treatment i need to remove it please?

Observe: If it is not gone in two weeks, it should be looked at by a dentist, oral surgeon, physician or an ent specialist.

Seek an exam by a dentist to evaluate if the lesion was due to trauma. He/she may refer you to an oral surgeon to biopsy the lesion. The biopsy can be done by numbing the tongue & taking some or all of the lesion out. This can also be done with a laser. The specimen is sent to an oral pathology laboratory & treatment options will be reviewed. Eat soft foods & take a weekly photo with a mm ruler.
