Is it okay if saline nasal rinse hit the middle nose septum if it's red and swollen or will that help it ?

Nasal saline : it is perfect to do this. You can make your own by mixing 1 tsp salt (not mortons) to 32 ounces of water. Use a syringe and use 50 cc to each nose 4 to 5 times a day. Use some bacitracin in the nose for ointment. It will soften the lining of the nose. Good luck and feel better!
