Difficult: A septal perforation will usually cause chronic dry, crusty nose and sometimes bloody discharge. Nasal saline, neti pot rinses can help, but sometimes nasal ointment like Bacitracin or neosporin can provide additional relief. Otherwise, see an ENT to evaluate for repair of the defect.
