Could be: If your periods are regular and you don't have the other signs and symptoms of PCOS, these are probably normal functional cysts. Several eggs begin to develop each month. One becomes the dominant follicle and that is the one that goes on to ovulate. The others just atrophy and go away. Occasionally there will be 2 dominant follicles that ovulate and can result in fraternal twins. Hope this helps.
