A member asked:

My daughter is 3 years old. she had labial adhesion 2 times already and started to develop another one. should we go see a endocrinologist?

Not necessarily: Labial adhesions are not uncommon in small children and an endocrinologist isn't needed since a low estrogen level is normal at 3 years of age. These can be associated with being too vigilant about keeping the area clean. They are easily addressed with topical estrogen cream and will resolve as she ages. Hope this helps.

Yes: You should see a pediatric endocrinologist. Estrogen is the most common treatment but you don't want to give too much
