Dry socket: Most likely this is Dry socket, which is defined as the blood clot in the extraction site, gets dislodged leaving exposed bone open to the bacteria in the open wound therefore causing excruciating pain. Usually happens sooner than one week but chances increase if you are a female, on birth control and smoke? Do any of these describe you? If so return to the doctor who pulled your tooth ASAP
