It could be anxiety: Remember that uncontrolled anxiety can presents with almost any and every symptoms you can imagine. If your are particularly worried why not review this with your healthcare providers who know you best.

Probably: If the episode you describe is similar to past panic attacks, it's likely due to intense anxiety. Suggest you see your pcp to review and make sure medical factors (eg., cardiac, thyroid, drugs) aren't contributing to your symptoms. Hope this helps.

Med/neuro check 1st: Medical and neurological evaluation should come first. If all is OK psychiatric care with med and or psychotherapy would be the way to go.

Therapy?: Have you yet tried any form of psychotherapy? Typically, the optimal combination of things to treat emotional issues such as anxiety or depression is medication (which, on your best day, is supposed to take the edge off symptoms) but the real gruntwork takes place in psychotherapist's consulting room.

Panic Attacks: It sounds like you haven't gotten any relief from your anxiety. It would still be a good idea to have another physical exam in case you have an illness. If not then it would be advisable to consult with a Clinical Psychologist for help. Medication can bring relief in addition to Psychotherapy.
