Bloodwork, clinical: Lupus and RA are both autoimmune disorders, and vary in there clinical presentations and usually their blood work results. Rheumatoid patients will usually have a positive rheumatoid factor and a propensity to have involvement of their hands and other joints. Lupus patients have a positive ANA test, inflammatory arthritis, but also systemic problems such as rash, cardiac, kidney more common.
