A member asked:

What kind of doctors should one see for possible pancreatitis? .

A doctor has provided 1 answer

GI: Pancreatitis is usually caused by 1 of 2 triggers. Either alcohol use or gallstone. Depending on the cause the treatment is difference. Usually gastroenterologists manage most patients with pancreatitis but if it is from gallstones a surgeon would be needed to remove your gallbladder.
