Baker's cyst...: ...also called popliteal cyst, is the most common explantion of this sort of thing. Usually harmless, but see your doctor to be certain; or discuss with your doc's office whether they would prefer you go directly to an orthopedist. Google Baker's cyst to find lots if information about it.
