I developed severe early preeclampsia with my first child and, am now 8 weeks pregnant with my second. is there anything i should be more aware of?

Yes, you should: Consult a high risk obstetrician, preferably a Materno-Fetal Medicine team (MFM) specializing in pregnancies complicated by hypertensive disorders and severe preeclampsia ASAP. Since there are significant short term and long term risks to your health as well as to the health of both of your children, careful monitoring will be needed to give you and them the best outcome possible.

Higher risk: You are at higher risk for preeclampsia and should make regular visits to your obstetrician for blood pressure and urine checks. Wish you a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby!
