Is this antibiotic gv cefuroxime cv likley to raise sugar levels. just wanna make sure as my father is put on them for a week twice a day.help?

Cefuroxime...: ...won't affect blood sugar. We use it (and related drugs, i.e. the cephalosporin antibiotics) all the time in diabetic patients, including two of my own patients currently in the hospital. Anyway, I think you can safely assume his doctors are on top of things like this -- but if in doubt, ask them. Best wishes and good luck to your dad.
