I accidentally took antibiotics cefuroxime cimex 500mg 3x a day (every 8 hours) for 4 days instead of 2x a day as prescribed by the doctor for cystitis. i only realised when i reread the prescription. im so stupid. is it harmful?

This is nothing to worry about. You could take double or triple the standard dose without harm, except maybe increased chance of diarrhea as a side effect.
