Good morning, i have a question. i was told that i needed to go see a pain management doctor for chronic pain. i have tmj & carpal tunnel.

Other options: An oral surgeon should be able to handle the TMJ issues and carpal tunnel can be treated by orthopedist or rheumatologist.

Yes: I agree. Anyone with Chronic pain in more than one region of the body will probably benefit from a more comprehensive approach to their pain. Pain management doc might not be enough but its a start :)

See specialists.: Most carpal tunnel problems can be successfully treated by a hand surgeon. TMJ problems are managed well by orofacial-TMJ docs.

Consider: If the source of your pain is solely TMJ and CTS, you could see a dentist for the former and a hand specialist for the latter.
