Pesky summer colds: Well, I believe air conditioning may only be partially to blame for your summer sore throat. Possibly the air conditioning dries out the air even more and causes throat irritation. Allergies are often more active in summer contributing to post-nasal drip and throat irritation, even sneezing and cold-like symptoms. Viruses causing sore throat circulate all year. Keep air humidified, wash hands.
