Not directly...: Typically, what makes people sick are bacterial and viruses (sometimes fungus). When the weather gets cold, people tend to stay indoors in close proximity to each other and with the windows closed. So, infections are more easily spread between us since the air is not circulated as well. Hand washing is the best way to avoid infection spread as well as disinfecting surfaces touched by a sick person.

No: While our moms may have said "you will catch your death of cold going out without a coat", etc. The weather does not cause illness. The weather can be a stressor. So if you have a compromised immune system from illness, lack of sleep, food, exercise, medications, smoking, etc then weather conditions can add fuel to that fire. So, to stay healthy take care of yourself!
