Continue to look: If this type of pain continues to be present, other investigation may be warranted including ultrasound and possibly laparoscopy to evaluate the pelvis directly. Laparoscopy and biopsy is the only definitive way to diagnose endometriosis. Ovarian pain may respond to hormonal birth control suppression for a simpler approach.
