I have a displaced fracture of phalanx with a buddy bandage! what should i wear in that foot since i cant wear a regular shoe ?

Immobile it: If the displaced fracture is able to be reduce and maintained by the buddy splinting, either a surgical shoe or cam walker should be worn until the fracture has healed. If the toe in question is the great toe, possible surgical intervention may be required.

The Buddy System: I have seen this situation dealt with in several ways. If you have access to a drug store that sell surgical supplies, you can ask them for a post operative shoe. There are various styles so you can select the one that works best. I have seen patients take one of their old shoes and cut the front off so as to accommodate the bandage. You can also go to sandal style shoe or flip flop.
