Should be checked: This may be her only way of communicating with those around her. Lack of speech is a concern, especially if you are trying to help her communicate and she is trying. CHOP is one of the top hospitals in the country and you should try to have her evaluated there. Start with her Pediatrician and request a referral. It may take a few steps along the way with other specialists -- speech, sensory,etc.
