Raynaud's phenomenon: If this is a response to exposure to cold, this is probably Raynaud's phenomenon, which is common in young women. See "http://www.dermnetnz.org/topics/raynaud-phenomenon/" for advice. If it is not from cold exposure, it may be the result of exposure to vibration (e.g. musical instrument) or possibly an auto-immune vascular disorder, so have her seen by your doctor.
