Nerve damage: You may have experienced some abnormal nerve sensations due to temporary or permanent nerve damage. You may have to see a medical professional for definitive answer. There may be other systemic conditions that are the causes of paresthesia including stroke, diabetes to name a few. Pins and needles, tingling and/ or burning sensation in the upper and lower extremities require a medical consult.
