My fianc has 2 herniated discs in his back, he is only 22 yrs old. he suffers from 24hr pain, what can be done? he also works very physical job

This is sad: Very physical occupations often can aggravate a familial tendency towards disc disease, especially those involving vibration or heavy lifting. Rather than getting on pain killers that can be addictive, if he has been checked by a physician who has diagnosed the disc disease and checked for nerve damage, he should see a physiatrist to find another way to deal with the pain. Any other jobs poss?
