I've got two herniated disc in my back that happen on the job injury. i've had one surgery back in march 2014 microdistemcy by disc blew out so now they wanna do a back fusion on l5-s1 which was denied by workman comp and my pain level stays at 9 and i'm

WC Denies Fusion: Are you having more leg than back pain? Fusions typically work better for patients who have limb pain greater than back or neck pain. Maybe your adjuster will agree to you undergoing a 2nd opinion to determine if that surgeon's plan of care is in agreement with your current surgeon's recommendations. Fusion hardware, in some patients (not on purpose), has contributed to increased back pain.
