Why does my doctor want to do swab for infections right before the cerclage removal procedure?what if its positive, will he postpone removal?

Possibly: That depends upon what they find. They may just want to treat you, to try and predict your risk for post-procedural infection, or they may in fact want to postpone the procedure. The best person to answer this question is the doctor performing the procedure. Good luck
