Increase risk: Bacterial vaginosis can increase the risk of preterm labor, premature rupture of membranes, and postpartum uterine infections. Although men may clear the infection without treatment, i would recommend that your partner and you should be treated. You schould avoid sexual intecourse for two week, then use condoms. Have your doctor check you for recurrences. Check with you ob/ gyn for appropriate tx.
