No.: Treatment of prostatitis requires antibiotics at the very least. While antibiotics may be over-the-counter in some countries, in the U.S. they are not. If you think you have prostatitis, you need to see a doctor to be sure and to get the appropriate treatment. I wish you the best.

Probably not: There are 3 different types of prostatitis: Acute Bacterial Prostatitis, Chronic Bacterial Prostatitis....both of which are less common than Chronic Prostatitis/Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome(CP/CPPS). The first two need antibiotic treatment. The more common CP/CPPS is also more complicated as the exact cause is unknown see http://bit.ly/1Ksso3B and http://bit.ly/1LNy60Q
