Chronic Rx!: Usually a chronic course of Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Metronidazole will help. However, there is mounting evidence that in some ways it may be an autoimmune disease, ie. A reaction to bacterial debris left in the prostate after repeat infection! prevention is always key.

Cure takes time: Adequate long term treatment with antibiotics and an active sex life or masturbation to empty the prostate are helpful.
