Does flomax (tamsulosin) help cure prostatitis?

Unfortunately not: Tamsolusin branded as Flomax (tamsulosin) belongs to a group of drugs called alpha-adrenergic blockers. It can only "soften/loosen your prostate gland" thus minimizing the compression of your urethra, hence allowing you to pee more efficiently. Prostatitis can make the peeing process more difficult and Flomax (tamsulosin) can help the symptoms a bit, but cannot cure prostatitis. Consult doc. Good luck.
