Cavity during braces: If you are worried-ask your orthodontist next time you see him/her to check to see if the hole is a cavity. You should be getting check-ups and dental cleanings at your general dental office as well. If it is a cavity, get it taken care of now rather than later.

Small hole: Where is the small hole located? Color often has nothing to do with a cavity that may be brewing underneath. Let your dentist evaluate this lesion.

Hole: May be a cavity or an enamel defect. Requires immediate attention. Show it to your Orthodontic Specialist so that he/she can communicate with your General Dentist as to appropriate timing and type of treatment. You have a highly skilled team (GP & Ortho) helping you. Take advantage of their expertise.
