Yes: No bm for more than a week can indicate everything from being dehydrated to a blockage of the bowel. Strong laxatives are contraindicated as you could rupture your bowel. See your doctor and start with an xray of your abdomen and pelvis. Do it today and not next week!

Could be. See MD: Sometimes constipation is from diet change, meds, metabolic causes. Are you bloated, distended, have pain, fever, backache, urinary symptoms, weight changes (up or down0, nausea, vomiting? Sometimes it can be from serious problems with bowel. See your doc. Get examined. May need rectal exam, disimpaction of solid stool from rectum, xrays to check for obstruct, stool, etc., labs.
