Which treatment is recommended for osteoarthritis in the knee?

Many options: Treatment starts simple and progresses based on response. Ice, nsaids, braces, activity modification, exercise and physical therapy first. Injections with steroids, hylauronic acids or prp next. Then partial or total knee replacement at the later stages of treatment once those other things fail to give pain relief and you function is poor.

See details: There are several options. Nsaids such as naproxen, tylenol (acetaminophen) if it works, supplements (glucosamine), exercises to strengthen supporting muscles, injectable lubricants (synvisc, orthovisvc, etc). A rheumatologist can help.
