You can use: baking powder or over the counter tooth paste. However, they are not so effective and/or stable. OTC bleach and whitening tooth paste could be used as a supplement only. A professional teeth whitening without laser, followed by home whitening system with custom trays for the long term effect. You will be very happy with the results.

Not really: Baking soda (not powder) is abrasive and will remove surface stains, but not actually whiten your teeth very much. Excess use can wear away the enamel making your teeth weaker. Consider using products specifically designed to whiten teeth. OTC gels may work for you, but nothing beats professionally dispensed and applied products.

Yes and no!: There are many ways to whiten your teeth. Just look on the internet. Whitening is actually cleaning the enamel or outside layer of your teeth. But be careful! the layer underneath is dentin and that can be very sensitive. Too much whitening can damage this layer, cause extreme discomfort and and actually damage the nerve inside your teeth.

Not much: Unfortunately, there is not much you can do to whiten your teeth with home remedies. Darkening of teeth is a natural change that takes place as we age. Going against this natural aging process requires professional intervention. At home if you brush and floss meticulously and carefully, you will at least keep tooth-darkening external stains away and can keep your teeth to their natural whiteness.
