Find cause of damage: Many ways to damage a nerve. If due to compression, decompress via surgery a la carpal tunnel release. If due to hyperglycemia, get diabetes under control. If due to inadequate B12, take supplement. If unknown, try epilepsy meds such as gabapentin & pregabalin or perhaps antidepressants like amtitriptyline & nortriptyline. Bottom line, go see your Family Doc for complete evaluation.
