Talk with doctors: I'm very sorry to hear of these difficulties. Your father may benefit from working with a palliative care physician: http://www.Palliativedoctors.Org/ these doctors are trained to assist people like your father. Also you can ask his nc doctors to prescribe the medicines he needs -- & also to have a phone conference with his ohio doctors for continuity of care.

Neurontin (gabapentin): Sorry to hear about your dad. I would recommend contacting his physician in nc, explain the situation, & ask if they could prescribe the Neurontin (gabapentin) or contact the doctor in ohio directly. Good luck to you.

Alternatives: You could ask them to prescribe pregabalin, or a tricyclics both work for neuropathy. The quickest way to get him help would be to contact hospice.
