Discuss this with: Discuss this with your dentist. Brush and floss after meals, avoid foods that contribute to dental decay and periodontal disease and see your dentist regularly for exams, evaluations and recommendations.

Seek evaluation: Removing a tooth from the dental arch is like removing a stave from a barrel. When a tooth is removed, the existing stability dynamic is altered. It would be worthwhile to see your Dentist about risk vrs benefit of tooth replacement vrs observation. Replacing the tooth or orthodontically repositioning your teeth are options to be considered. See your Dentist.

Speak with dentist: See your dentist for an evaluation. Did the area get a bone graft for a future implant? There is a limited window to do this. Replace the tooth immediately to avoid any future issues.

Dental Implant: See your dentist and ask how dental implants stop gradual bone loss, teeth shifting and replace missing teeth. Good luck and do not delay.

Tooth Dependent: If it was a wisdom tooth, no further Tx necessary. If it was any other tooth, the previous doctor's answer is right-on, the area should have been properly grafted and preparation for possible implant placement protocol followed.
