A member asked:

I heard that missing tooth can make one's chin shorter. does bone loss of only one molar tooth also alter facial structure?

No: The chin does not get shorter. The distance from the chin to the nose gets shorted as teeth are lost and worn down. Decades ago female models would have four molars extracted to sink in the cheeks and give a dimpled look. The lost of an upper canine or eye tooth would create a significant defect. The lost of a single molar would just be the beginning of the collapse of the bite.

Impossible: Missing teeth can destroy the look, compromised chewing efficiency and Collapse of cheek into the space, but it cannot change the shape or size of your chin. Hope it helps.
