A member asked:

How long does it take to get to stable levels of pepcid (famotidine) 20mg taken twice a day?

Dr. Alvin Lin answered

15hrs: it takes 5 half-lives to get up to stable levels and about that much time to get something out of your system. Pepcid (famotidine) has a half-life of 2.5-3.5hrs so you should reach stable levels after 15hrs, give or take.
