A member asked:

Is it safe to take pepcid (famotidine) ac or its generic version while on 140mg of methadone per day?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Pepcid is a common medication used for stomach acid symptoms. Zantac (ranitidine) and tagamet are similar, and all of them are now available over-the-counter and are known as "h-2 blockers". You can use it for treatment of indigestion and is ok to use with methadone, but if your stomach continues to bother you be sure to see your primary care physician.
