What are the long term negative effects for hydrocortisone or prednisone? i know one is longer acting but what negative side effects do each have?

Similar, minor diffe: The long term side effects are numerous depending on the individuals, duration, and dose. Major ones: Osteoporosis, cataract, diabetes, hypertension, adrenal suppression (stop working altogether) . Some may have glaucoma. Weight gain at the belly and face, acne etc. Some immune suppression can be expect with high doses for months. Prednisone has less sodium-retention effects (less low potassium)
