Rash: It is unusual for HIV to initially present as a rash limited to the hands. Rashes to the palms of the hands can be associated with syphilis, hand-foot-mouth disease, strep infections, or other viral infections. as well as non-infectious causes. If you have been exposed to HIV or any other STD, seek advice and further testing from your PCP or health department.
