It may take time: It seems you are being treated for Otitis Externa which can be really painful and it may take more than 24 hours may be 3to 5 days for it to control your pain.You can take over the counter pain med like Ibuprofen or Tylenol (acetaminophen) if no allergy or other contraindication.Or call your doctor and get prescription Analgesic..
