Diet: Any constipation can be treated in many ways. I typically recommend enacting dietary measures such as increasing dietary fiber and decreasing fat. For example, green leafy vegetables and beans are good sources of fiber that may permit stool to be passed. Increasing water and some light exercise is a treatment with little side effect. Exercise is a default therapy for almost any condition.
