I have been diagnosed with constipation after having an x-ray done. i'm on 8 mg laxatives. how long should it be until i am using the bathroom?

It doesn't take long and depends on which laxative you are using as there are many kinds and many types: Milk of Magnesia, (magnesium hydroxide) bulk laxatives, stimulant laxatives, soluble fiber, and increasing your water intake all help reduce constipation. You may need a suppository too made of similar substances, glycerin suppository to soften stool or stool softeners too. They all work well.
