A member asked:

Hi, i had a colposcopy yesterday and i've noticed a strange tissue like discharge coming from my vagina, i'm just wonder if this is normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Often when they do a colposcopy they do biopsies and remove pieces of tissue to look at under a microscope. This causes small wounds on the cervix. As these wounds heal you may have a discharge that looks like pieces of tissue. This is normal and not a cause for concern.
