A member asked:

Colposcopy done with vinegar and iodine solutions. 2 biopsies taken. having brown coagulated and tissue-like discharge. normal? how long will it last?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Colposcopy discharge: We often will use silver nitrate or something call Monsell's solution, which is a brownish paste, to stop the bleeding from the biopsy. You may see this discharge for up to about a week.
