Frustrated.: there is a number of possibilities for your condition. the first that comes to mind is a condition called supernumery teeth. In short extra teeth in the site of in your case the third molar(AKA wisdom tooth). Those should have appeared on your XRays when you were in your teens. You should have been informed of this condition and then advised as what to do. The second condition a tumor.

Unusual: A very small percentage of people, less than 1%, have supernumerary (extra) wisdom teeth. They should be visible on x-ray, however, by the time you are in your early to middle teens. That's not teeth that have been extracted growing back, it's formation of extra teeth. Seek examination with Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, or at Oral Surgery Department at a Dental School.
