Iron deficiency: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, you are iron deficient, likely due to menstrual blood loss. You may take oral iron supplement and multivitamin. However you need to have your hemoglobin level determined to check on the progress. Follow you doc's advice.
