No..wait: Fever is not necessarily a bad thing. Our bodies elevate temperature in the presence of what it considers foreign (bacteria, virus etc). The reason for this is that even with modest increases in basal core temperature, bacterial and viral replication is inhibited. If the fever is high, you should let your doctor know, say >102.5. Viral infections typically produce higher fevers FYI.
