Uderweight: You need to have a healthy meal or snack every 3 hours, but avoid Junk food, a consultation with dietitian might be a good idea to help gain weight by eating balanced diet in proper portions & help you with your calories requirment. You can take a multivitamin with minerals to help suppliment your diet. I'm sorry I'm not familiar with syrup. Good luck & be happy.
